I’m sitting on the patio in November, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather and sunshine. I love the changing of the seasons. It’s refreshing to have cooler weather after a long hot summer. Leaves are blowing off the trees, the flowers have now stopped blooming, and the grass is no longer growing. How magical are the changes that autumn brings!!
Autumn is a time for letting go and releasing things that have been a burden. As we watch the leaves turn from green to shades of gold and red, it reminds us of how temporary everything is in life. The musical group called The Byrds sang “There is a season turn, turn, turn. And a time to every purpose under Heaven.” Just like trees, we have seasons in our lives. We might have good times and bad times at varying intervals throughout our lives. It’s good and healthy to remind ourselves that nothing lasts forever, just like the seasons. When times are good, don’t take them for granted. When times are bad, know that this too will pass.
What is your favorite season and why? Is there something in your life that you need to let go of during this autumn season? Live your life to the fullest, knowing that this season is only temporary. Be well.
